Concerning Commissions

alright just want to let you all know I've gone through my commissions post and edited a few things.(layout and prices, all that jazz). I also took the liberty of removing traditional commissions. I'm not canceling on those who've already requested a traditional commission- you guys are safe. For the time being commissions will be purely digital.
As far as traditional goes, I'm going to most likely be auctioning off some original pieces. It just allows a lot more freedom when it comes to illustrating.

Information can be found here: (list currently closed)

also, I'd like to apologize to those who have been patiently waiting for me to get down to work. I've just been extremely busy on this end. I'll be sure to get down to business in the next month or so :)
thank you for you patience

HAAAXXXXX (Final Fantasy)

obviously Hax has probably become one of my more favored words

game ranting goodness! (not that I ever really do this)
just because I feel like it

alright, so I used to love the final fantasy series (I still love them but you know...hardly play games anymore)
I recently started replaying final fantasy 7 and I've come to realize that even though the graphics are no where near as amazing as some of the games out now- The game (I find) can be a lot more fun than some of the new ones. (ESPECIALLY the new FF games- 'sept I haven't played crisis core so I don't know how that's going)

More so focused on the Final Fantasy series itself, why is it that the older Final Fantasy PSX games have more appeal? I've been thinking about it for a while.
I've tried most of the new games

FF X
FF X-2
FF tactics advance
FF Dirge of Cerberus
FF XII

I'm not sure if anyone else feels the same way, but does it just feel like they're focusing more on shinees?
Hell, even their new designs aren't that amazing. The majority of armor in FF XII made no sense AT ALL. The character developement blows chunks- I mean the only thing I really enjoyed about the game was the hunts (but even so, I'm not a big MMO battlestyle fan) This game hardly appeals to me at all.

Final fantasy X- alright, but they went a bit crazy with "I'm a dream of the past in the future" type deal. I also didn't really like their map style- I enjoy flying around a giant map for shits and giggles (but I guess that's just me being old school)

Final fantasy X-2- only liked the battle system...got completely addicted to killing things

and rather than me continually bashing everything I hate about the new games
I'm just going to say what I like about the old ones.

fairly simple- solid character designs that generally made sense.
music- great- kept with the different mixes but still had that FF feel.- set a good mood.
Story- They actually had decent character developement

I think what's mainly getting to me is the fact that it feels like Squeenix is going for a few money grabs now and losing site of what they once were.
maybe over thinking the designs and trying to go for something new- new I can understand- but what was old seems better to me.

nostalgia a factor? maybe.
but more so...just the story/atmosphere of the older games felt more focused.

Munnys, Dunnys, and UR FACE- oh my!

so today I went to an urban store, downtown Vancouver and purchased one dunny and two customizable mini Munnys (one white and one blue).
what I want is this guy- one day
so UCKING expensive though. [link]
my dunny is the gangsta on the second last row (furthest to the left) [link] and I love him to bits. :D
These things are just so hot. I can't wait to start painting on them. I'm going to make one of them gempo and the othe one some sort of thinger with a zipper across his chest (haven't quite figured it out yet...)
anyone out there customize one of their own?

alright, does anyone know of any clubs or any some such things down here in vancouver?
I'm looking for a traditional outlet. Some sort of painting get together that doesn't entirely require a fee or just even sketching. Sketching is good!
I need to make more artsy friends and nerd out about art things. I came to realize that I don't actually really know many other traditional artists- not even traditional
just even illustrators/concept artists.
I want to meet people.
anyone?
anywhere?
if not
any artsy illustrat-ee concept people wanna hang out for a day sometime?

I only know of Draw Jam with the Artery.ca
